Ike says “No parade”

Austin, TX- just a quick hit to let you guys know that the parade that was planned for Friday the 12th was officially cancelled as of this morning. ugh!!
hurricane Ike is about to bare down on the Texas gulf coast; thus, no celebrating will be done. the University of Texas has cancelled its weekend activities as well.
join me in praying for the families evacuating safely, hunkering down, and millions of other living creatures in its path.
to my knowledge, there are plans to reschedule the event, but you never know. i will keep you guys as up to date as i can with information. hopefully it will be soon!
